FOOD SECURITY

The front cover of this issue is dedicated to food security, and portrays some men around their cultivated vegetables in a greenhouse. The satisfaction and joy on their faces and the fellowship among them show how food produced locally, humanizes us. Nobody should be hungry, either in the world in general, or in South Africa in particular.

We have the means to produce enough food for all, in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way. We only lack the conviction and the will to achieve it.
